🌿 What Is EFT Tapping?
EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques)—often called tapping—is a powerful self-healing tool that blends ancient Chinese acupressure with modern psychology. By gently tapping on specific meridian points on the body while speaking intentional phrases, we access the body's energetic system to release emotional blocks, reduce stress, and rewire subconscious patterns.
Think of it as acupuncture without needles—calming the nervous system and bringing your body, mind, and spirit back into harmony.
✨ How Does It Work?
When we experience emotional stress, trauma, or limiting beliefs, our body stores those experiences in our energy system. Over time, these unresolved patterns can show up as anxiety, pain, fatigue, or feelings of being stuck.
EFT tapping works by:
Stimulating meridian points to regulate the nervous system
Decreasing cortisol levels (your stress hormone)
Calming the amygdala (your brain's alarm system)
Rewiring subconscious beliefs and behaviors that no longer serve you
✋ How to Perform EFT Tapping
Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) is a simple yet powerful practice you can use anytime, anywhere. It involves gently tapping on specific points on the body while focusing on a thought, emotion, or belief you'd like to release or shift.
Here’s a step-by-step guide to get you started:
🔹 Step 1: Identify the Issue
Choose one emotion, thought, or physical sensation you want to work on. Keep it focused.
Example: “I feel overwhelmed,” or “I’m afraid of not having enough money.”
🔹 Step 2: Rate the Intensity
On a scale from 0 to 10, how strong is this feeling right now? This helps track your progress.
🔹 Step 3: Create a Setup Statement
You’ll begin by tapping on the karate chop point (side of the hand) while saying your setup statement 3 times:
“Even though I feel [insert issue], I deeply and completely love and accept myself.”
🔹 Step 4: Tap Through the Points
Using 2–3 fingers, gently tap each of the following points 5–7 times while repeating a short phrase that reminds you of the issue. Move through the points in order:
Top of Head (TOH)
Eyebrow (EB) – where your brow starts near the nose
Side of Eye (SE) – at the temple
Under Eye (UE) – on the bone below the eye
Under Nose (UN)
Chin (CP) – between bottom lip and chin
Collarbone (CB) – just under the collarbone
Under Arm (UA) – side of the body, about 4 inches below the armpit
Keep repeating reminder phrases like:
“This overwhelm”
“This fear”
“This pressure I feel”
🔹 Step 5: Take a Deep Breath
After a full round, pause. Take a deep breath and check in with your body.
🔹 Step 6: Reassess the Intensity
Ask yourself: “What number is the feeling at now?” If it hasn’t dropped significantly, repeat the process with adjusted phrases or shift to more positive statements once the intensity lowers.
